Botox
The lines that appear between your brows actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. When those muscles contract, they draw the brows together. As the skin ages and becomes less elastic over time, the repeated frowning and facial movements can result in moderate to severe lines on the forehead, between the brows and even on the corners of the eyes known as "crows feet".
Botox® Cosmetic has been used for over 16 years to treat these conditions. Botox® Cosmetic is an intramuscular injection, blocking the chemicals that cause facial muscles to contract, therefore causing them to relax. There is no anesthesia involved with this procedure although use of an ice pack can be used prior to, and, or after, injection. You can expect to see results within a couple of days after the treatment and the appearance of the treated area may continue to improve for up to 10 days. Individual results vary from patient to patient and have been shown to last for up to 3 to 4 months where a follow up treatment may be required for maintenance. |
